  • People looking for a quick, effective course that can help them get a job overseas until the market settles back at home
  • Those who want to travel the world
  • Those who are interested in teaching  but want to get experience teaching overseas first
  • Those who want to do some tutoring on the side to help ESL students, recent immigrants, or just to make a little extra cash

NON-NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS / ESL STUDENTS

Did you come to Vancouver to learn English. Are you worried about how you are going to maintain your English when you go back home? If this is you, teaching English in your own country is a great way to keep your English level as well as to share English skills with other students who may not have had the same opportunity to study English abroad. Taking our 60-hour intensive TEFL Certification course will give you a solid foundation in the essential methodologies that are necessary to be a successful English teacher. Obtaining your TEFL Certificate in Canada can also help you get higher paying teaching opportunities back home....Don’t miss out! We only take 10 students per month at our Vancouver centre, so register early!

General Pre-requisites:

  • A diploma or degree from a Canadian Post Secondary Institution
  • TOFEL 220 (Computer-Based) 560 (Paper-Based)
  • ELA - 145 (English Language Assessment Test)
  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - 6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6

If you fall short of meeting a pre-requisite, come in and speak with us. We would be happy to assess, on a case-by-case basis, anyone who is borderline with their English language proficiency. The course is challenging and we want our students to succeed, but we understand English ability is more than just a test score.

Students who are Non-Native English Speakers and who successfully complete our TEFL Certification Program will be issued with certificate with all the same content as Native English Speakers, but with the additional designation of “Non-Native Speaker.”
